About Us
At Family Dog Bond, we believe that a well-trained dog starts with a strong relationship between the dog and its family. With over 20 years of experience, Brandon Whaley—Master Dog Trainer and graduate of National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio—has been helping families build lasting bonds with their dogs through effective, relationship-based obedience training.
Our approach is rooted in praise, motivation, and clear communication using professional leash and collar techniques, including martingale collars. We focus on balanced training that encourages good behavior through positive reinforcement while using light, appropriate corrections to guide dogs away from unwanted habits. Training is tailored to the unique dynamics of each household, and we encourage all family members—kids included—to participate. The result is not just a well-behaved dog, but a deep, lasting bond built on trust, consistency, and mutual respect.
